You Might Not Believe Me On This One, But…

question mark

I’ve been thinking about you….

You’re my crew, my clan, my posse, my tribe.

And, quite honestly, I love you!

I love reading your comments. I love hearing about what’s going on in your life. I love sharing my heart with you.

Can you do me a favor?

It’d mean a great deal if you’d answer the following questions for me:

1. Your name, where you’re from & where you blog (if you blog).

2. As a woman, what is important to you?

3. What is one goal you’d be extremely proud of yourself for accomplishing this year?

4. What is something new you’d like to try?

5. Is there something I can help you with? (Be bold!)

6. What inspires you?

7. What frustrates you?

8. What makes you laugh?

9. What is your biggest fear?

10. What’s inside of you that other women need to know/see/hear?

11. Why do you read Woman, Live? (If this is your first time visiting my blog, WELCOME!)

I’m just itching to read your comments!

With super duper amounts of love,

  1. 1. Your name, where you’re from & where you blog (if you blog).

My name is Kawana. I’m from South Carolina, but I live on Guam. I do not blog; however, a group of friends and I will start blogging in the next few weeks relative to our Life Group discussions.

    2. As a woman, what is important to you?

Something that is important to me is truly knowing my role as a woman. In today’s society, women are more concerned about being the “baddest chick/b*tch”. God did not call us to ratchedness…He called us to righteousness, and I want to walk in such a way that others see that I am a woman chasing after God’s own heart.

    3. What is one goal you’d be extremely proud of yourself for accomplishing this year?

Only one? How about a few? I made a vision board this year of all the things I would like to accomplish by the end of the year including finishing the next five classes in my doctoral degree program, paying off my truck by making more than 2x the payments each month, and strengthening my relationship with those around me.

    4. What is something new you’d like to try?

Hmmm…what would I like to try? I would like to know what all the hype is about with the so-called Heavenly Beds at the Westin. I think I’m going to go find out really soon!

    5. Is there something I can help you with? (Be bold!)

I may need to babysit. I haven’t done it in quite awhile. I need to check out the child gauge to see if I’m truly ready to step into parenthood.

    6. What inspires you?

I am inspired by people who are talking and walking out God’s Word; those who are willing to check me because they love me, and being a blessing to others.

    7. What frustrates you?

You really want to know what frustrates me? People who “forget” what I’ve said to them, and I feel like I’m repeating myself over and over again; people who lie for no good reason, and sometimes the distance away from loved ones.

    8. What makes you laugh?

There are so many things that makes me laugh…for starters, babies laughing makes me laugh; my ADHD group of friends keep me rolling on a daily basis, my siblings are a hoot and a half.

    9. What is your biggest fear?

My biggest fear is that I miss God in something because I’m trying to do things independent of Him.

    10. What’s inside of you that other women need to know/see/hear?

I may look like I have it all together, but nah, I don’t. I don’t share a lot of the trials I have, but I go through just like everyone else, but the Word of God is a comforter and a counselor. When I trust you, I’ll start talking.

    11. Why do you read Woman, Live? (If this is your first time visiting my blog, WELCOME!) I have to support the home team! I don’t always respond, but I am reading!

  9. I just want to start off by saying that this is my 3rd time filling out this survey for you. I didn’t think my answers were good enough compared to anyone else in the world. I don’t inspire to be anything other than a mother. I feel I was born to be a mother and in society, stay-at-home moms are put down because they “don’t do anything.” When people say we don’t do anything, I think “Are we supposed to be going to school and working at medical technicians or some type of licensed instructor?” That’s just not me. I didn’t feel good enough to answer your questions… until we talked. After we talked, I still kept putting this off, but then I saw a video this morning about how your day went. It was such a general video but I felt like you were speaking directly to me and you said “It’s OK if you inspire to be a stay-at-home mom.” In that moment, I told myself “I am enough and what I do is enough FOR ME. I don’t have to please others or anyone else but myself. I don’t have to compare myself to others and feel bad that I can’t do what they are doing. I am enough.”

    1. Your name, where you’re from & where you blog (if you blog).
Lissa, from Virginia. I don’t blog.

    2. As a woman, what is important to you?
Being a good mother to my children.

    3. What is one goal you’d be extremely proud of yourself for accomplishing this year?
Being the best mother I can be to my child and new baby (coming soon).

    4. What is something new you’d like to try?
Being a surrogate mother and giving a certain deserving person the chance at motherhood that they couldn’t have.

    5. Is there something I can help you with? (Be bold!)
Your support and care is wonderful 🙂

    6. What inspires you?
    Motivation

    7. What frustrates you?
Those telling me to go back to school – it’s not what I want to do!

    8. What makes you laugh?
    Jokes.

    9. What is your biggest fear?
    Losing the ones I love

    10. What’s inside of you that other women need to know/see/hear?
I was meant to be a mother, that’s what makes me happy and that’s all I want to do 🙂

    11. Why do you read Woman, Live? (If this is your first time visiting my blog, WELCOME!)
You are my good friend, I enjoy seeing what you’re up to and along the way, I am learning to accept myself for who I want to be and not compare myself to other women.
