Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
It’d be nice if we had all the facts to make a solid decision, but that’s seldom the case. Life is imperfect in that way. A hazy picture, an under-developed plan, and an incomplete list of facts is all we have to work with. And, yet, a decision still has to be made.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
We all have faith in something: our education, our money, ourselves, etc. <–These things are faulty, at best. Why not put our trust into the one who knows our beginning and ending? There is nothing about our journey that perplexes God. He sees perfectly. And, when we consult him by prayer, He will direct our steps.
While you’re on that staircase, remember the Holy Spirit knows exactly which stair you’re on and how to get to you to the top. And, remember, you’re not alone. Each one of us are on our own stair, feeling around for that next stair with the faith that God will provide. Rest assure He will reveal the next step in His perfect timing.
Please share with us what helps you to take your next stair when you can’t see the entire staircase. Why is it important that we press on despite our limited vision?
